GNW Tasks - Update

In my last post I mentioned that before I could start the shirt for my 16th century outfit there were a few things I needed to get finished before I could start the shirt. Here is where I am:

I am not far off of being at the point where I have completed enough sewing to get by at Festival, I am almost finished an underskirt to wear with the Spanish Stanzi gave me and after that I have another under skirt to complete and then a woollen coat. The skirt I can get done in less than a day and the coat I need to get a pattern for. I have asked for help from Morde but I will ask again as that was a couple of weeks ago as she is somewhat distracted at the moment by making Greek for an upcoming local event. There are a of course a few other bits and pieces I would like to get done but they are by no means 100% necessary!

I narrowed down the patterns I would like to use for embroidering the collar and cuffs on the shirt.

All of the patterns come from Egenolff, Christian, Modelbuch, some of the plates suggest that the book was published in 1527 but one of the plates is dated 1533.

So I have narrowed it down to eight patterns, but I think I will go with Choice 1, but I may change my mind between now and starting the embroidery.

Also, I started to have a go at Illumination on Friday so I will continue along with that as that can be another task to tick off the list from Great Northern War.
