GNW Tasks - 16th Century Outfit

First of all refer to previous post in regards to GNW Tasks.

So maybe I won't have the time to get a whole outfit done, that is ok, I will take Stanzi's advice and try to make a shirt. Once I have a gotten a few other bits and pieces out of the way I will make a start on an embroidered shirt to go with a German Frock I have the fabric for. Well the frock I want to make is actually Swiss but then the Swiss at the time were heavily influenced by German fashion anyway.

Here is a similar frock to the one above.

I have the fabric for the shirt and the embroidery silk as well, I just need to decide on a pattern for the embroidery.

For the main frock the fabric I have an olive green wool and I would like to use a burgundy in either a heavy wool or velveteen for the guards.

When I get actually get a start on the abovementioned shirt I will post a picture of my chosen embroidery pattern.

  1. Hurray!!! That's awesome! There's nothing wrong with tasks morphing through the year if things change. You can't see the future! The objective is for you to set goals and try and achieve them. If you can't achieve 100% of the goal, that's ok, you can at least achieve something. So - it's not a full frock! But it's the start of a full frock, skin out! Nice work!
